photo

The 2012 Dinner will be held on Thursday 11 October at the South Steyne Harbourside Restaurant, Cockle Bay, Darling Harbour at 6.30pm. This was an outstanding new venue in 2011.

The price is just $100 for MHSOBA members and $110 for non members. The price includes canapes on arrival, a two course plated meal with alternatives and a full drinks package throughout. Special dietry requests can be accommodated if advised well beforehand.

As the online booking facility is now closed, please conatct Margie Burton on her mobile (0412 105 383) if you would still like to attend.

This year’s distinguished Old Boy is one of our own great performers, a star of musical theatre, John DiedrichAs performer, director and producer, John has been involved in the cream of musical theatre for over forty years. In 1980 John starred for the first time on London's West End when he played the role of Curly in Cameron Mackintosh's revival of Rodgers and Hammerstein's Oklahoma! directed by Oscar Hammerstein's son Jamie, in which he was nominated for an Olivier Award as best actor in a musical. In 1982 John returned to Australia to perform Curly in a national tour.

A more detailed biography of John Diedrich's performance life is attached.

The dinner is a lot of fun, and full details will be forwarded shortly. Hope you can make it!
