Jeremy Ludowyke has now taken up his position as Principal of MHS. He came to us as principal of Princes Hill Secondary College. He attended MHS 1969-72. At school he was on the SRC, was a W02 in the cadets, in the school baseball team and school athletics team. He won the Speech Night Prize in 1972 for 18th Century History.
He did a Bachelor of Arts then DipEd at La Trobe University, and later a Master of Arts in History. He also completed a Graduate Diploma in Education Policy and Administration at Monash University.
He was principal of Mullauna Secondary College 1990-1994, and became principal of Princes Hill in 1996.
He has written on the education of boys, and is an Associate Fellow of the Australian Principals Centre at the University of Melbourne. He has served on the Ministerial Advisory Committee on Education Employment Training and Youth Affairs and the 1995-96 Gender Equity Task Force, and also on the National Advisory Committee of the National Inquiry into School History, and on the State Ministerial Reference Group on Gender Education. He is also a Board Member of the Victorian Schools Innovation Commission and on the Youth Research Centre for Melbourne University.
We all welcome Jeremy to MHS and look forward to his inaugural address as Principal to the MHSOBA Luncheon Club, entering its 22nd year.
