The Colin Carter luncheon held at the Unicorn Club on Monday 19 March was an outstanding success in every respect.
The speaker spoke on the great links between business and sport, with thrusts into the charitable work of the United Nations in Africa through the Barcelona FC. His clear exposition of the role of business in sport, and sport in business, was enlightening in today's world where often the 'bottom line' is all that counts.
Colin was the first of our special luncheon speakers for 2012 organised by life member and former GM&B Patron-in-Chief Charles Macek. Harold Mitchell is the next speaker on 16 May, followed by Li Cunxin (Mao's Last Dancer) on 8 August concluding with John Bertrand on 17 October. All luncheons will be well supported so booking early is essential.
Andrew Sloane, the new Assistant Principal replacing the retired Warren Fall, also spoke briefly about a very busy term 1 at the school.
The luncheon was hosted by MHSOBA President Andrew Neilson and Henry Jolson QC introduced our guest. Photogalleries Related: View photogallery
